The Neanderthal Flute was found in the cave of Divje Babe (Witch Cave) in Slovenia, amongst the remnants of a Neanderthal fire pit.
The 60,000 year-old Neanderthal Flute, is carved from the bone (femur) of a cave bear and was discovered in Slovenia in 1995.
Neanderthals are a species of hominid with which we share a common ancestor.
